Forest Recycling Project (FRP) is a not-for-profit, social enterprise with environmental and social aims. We engage with communities in North East London through a range of practical initiatives to reduce, reuse and recycle waste. We have been in operation since 1989.
Our work focuses on the following five projects:
- ReUse Centre: FRP sells second-hand goods at affordable prices. No unwanted items are thrown away; everything is recycled.
- RePaint: FRP collects unwanted, surplus paint and re-distributes it to people and communities in need, improving the wellbeing of people and the appearance of places.
- Give or Take: FRP organises community-based Give or Take events for London boroughs and housing associations. These money free events enable people to give away things they don’t need or take things they do.
- Green Office: FRP collects office paper for recycling from within the London Borough of Waltham Forest and adjoining areas. We also sell 100% recycled, A4 white paper for everyday office use.
- Volunteering: All FRP projects are supported by volunteers. Our volunteering programme aims to offer people a worthwhile, environmental volunteering opportunity.
